ಚಂಡಮಾರುತಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಜದಿರಿ, ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿ

ಸೆಪ್ಟಂಬರ್‌ 11 ಹೊಸಿತಿಲಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಆತಂಕ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಆತಂಕ ಉಂಟಾಗಿರುವುದು ಒಸಾಮನಿಂದಲ್ಲ ; ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಿಂದ. ‘ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಸ್‌’ (Frances) ಎನ್ನುವ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ಅಮೆರಿಕನ್ನರ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಕೆಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಚಂಡಮಾರುತದ ದಿಕ್ಕು-ವೇಗದ್ದೇ ಸುದ್ದಿ . ಈ ನಡುವೆ ವಿಶ್ವಕನ್ನಡ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಕ್ಷಣಗಣನೇ ಬೇರೆ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತ ತಲೆಬಿಸಿ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡುವುದು ಸಹಜವೇ. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲ , ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ‘ಅಕ್ಕ’ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ಸಮಿತಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದು ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾದೀತು ?

Hurricane Frances Information

AKKA World Kannada Conference 2004 Convention Committee would like to inform convention participants that we are carefully monitoring the path of Hurricane Frances. We are in constant communication with Gaylord Palms Resort officials to assure that the Conference proceedings will take place under the safest circumstances. The resort is built to hurricane specification and meets all building codes related to hurricanes.

At this time, the AKKA World Kannada Conference 2004 is set to begin Friday, September 3 and end Sunday, September 5 as per our original plans. We look forward to seeing you there!
