‘ಇನ್‌ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್‌’ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಔಟ್‌!

ಕೇಬಲ್‌ ಚಾನಲ್‌ನ ಹೆಸರು ‘ಇನ್‌ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ್‌'. ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡತನವಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವಾಗ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಚರ್ಚೆಯೇ ಅನಗತ್ಯ! ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದನ್ನೆ ಪಂಚಾಮೃತವೆಂದು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಧೈರ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ, ‘ಇನ್‌ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು' ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ಆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಲುಗು, ತಮಿಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆರೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ!

Ive been observing that IN BANGALORE cable operators are promoting other languages in Bangalore.

To my surprise, when I watched the Comedy request show last night, they were taking calls from local kannadigas and playing Telugu movie comedy scenes !!!!. The worst part was, the callers were asking for comedy shows from kannada movies ( of stars like Jaggesh/ Prabhakar) but IN BANGALORE was showing Telugu movie scenes for them!!

Also, in their channels they always play either Hindi/English/Tamil & Telugu movies every day & night. Hardly I can see any kannada movie being shown that channel.

Looks like it is because of the ignorant attitude of cable operators towards local language.

Do any of us have contact details of offices of these operators in Bangalore? We can write emails to them demanding more kannada programs.
