Rajashekar Doddannas response on behalf of Kaveri

Rajashekar Doddanna, our senior leader, has responded to the attempts by the outsiders to brew misunderstandings among Kaveri leaders on behalf of all Kaveri leaders and past presidents.

This letter is addressed to all interested Kannadigas in America who are forced to receive e-mails sent by Mr. Kumaraswami and Mr. Aswathanarayana. Although we have no intention to dignify the rumor mongering systematically carried out by these two individuals, we deem it necessary to respond and express our disgust on this matter.

It is very unfortunate that these two so called volunteers of Kannada language in America are more involved in discussing trivial matters about private conversations between two individuals. It is not the business of any one to know what was discussed between two persons. Mr. Aswathanarayana and Mr. Kumaraswami are more involved in diagnosing what is going on in Kaveri. They are not members of Kaveri and have no idea how Kaveri has operated and continues to operate. These two individuals want to view this

unique organization through the dirty prism of their experience with their own organizations. Many individuals have tried in the past to bring this issue of caste to alienate the members of Kaveri. Mr. Kumaraswami is one of them who along with Mr. Muddukrishna and others wanted to inflict Kaveri with the virus of caste. But none of it succeeded. It is not known why they continue to bring this issue of caste and try to create internal problems for Kaveri.

The original founders of Kaveri can vouch for the fact that from the beginning there was never a domination of one group or the other. This idea itself is offending. We caution these two individuals not to try to inflict our organization with this kind of thinking. The members of Kaveri always stand behind any president who is elected to lead them. In the history of Kannada organizations, Kaveri has the record of having the most number of presidents. People here do not stick to the administration of the organization like leaches to further their own agenda. After they serve, they move aside gracefully making room for new comers irrespective of their castes.

The current administration of Kaveri along with all the past presidents would like to advise these two individuals that if they have any interest to further Kannada, they should stop interfering with organizations which are striving to preserve and protect our language and culture.
