NOTIFICATION FOR REGISTRANTS AND PROSPECTIVE REGISTRANTS

The weather forecast for the Washington area(which generally applies to Baltimore as well) indicates that we could face some rough weather during WKC 2006. The forecast based on tropical storm (Ernesto) is for rain on Friday and Saturday and thunderstorms on Sunday - just what we dont need on those days. If the forecast holds we may face some problems with regard to the movement of people between the Baltimore Convention Center(BCC) and the Wyndham and other hotels in the downtown area. Our present transport arrangements between Wyndham and BCC are limited to those with small children, the disabled and seniors.

In anticipation that there may be moderate to heavy rain, we urge all participants to pack one or more umbrellas(depending on the size of the family) to minimise the effects of adverse weather. It may be difficult, if not impossible, to buy umbrellas after you arrive, given the large numbers involved. A small precaution may pay handsome dividends later.

While we have sent many notifications concerning the programs which start on Friday morning, and repeated it on our website, we are still receiving questions about it. Here is the lowdown on the program on Friday morning. There will be a Business Forum starting at 8.30 a.m. which all registrants may attend as observers.

There will also be a spiritual program "Lead In to Light" starting at 9.30 a.m.presented by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar of the Art of Living Foundation which registrants may attend, but it may be noted that there will be several attendees who have registered only for that session and will not participate in WKC 2006. Lunch is provided to the latter group, but regular registrants for WKC 2006 can also buy lunch for $10. Prior notification of your intention to attend the Art of Living session would be very helpful.

Finally, there will also be a Continuing Medical Education program on Friday which is limited to doctor partipants. Further details can be found on our website http://www.akkaonline.org/2006
