1) Why do you surf for kannada on the web?

Namaskara. Nimma prashnegalige uttara bahala sulubhavagi kodabahudhu.

I grew up with Kannada as one of my daily used languages. Living here in Britain I get to hear Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarathi etc but not Kannada.

I used to read, sing, speak and chat in Kannada. I miss the language and hence love to see Kannada in written form. We have TV channels in all languages but not Kannada. I would love to hear the language, enjoy humour that only Kannada can give in a certain form which is inimitable in other languages. Each language has its own beauty and charm. I miss Kannada a lot hence I look for Kannada on the web. I can also give info to other Kannada speakers I know around the world.

2) Why do you make it a point to visit kannada.oneindia.com?

I look for news about Bangalore. Information about India as a whole is also available from this website. I am originally from Bangalore and visit Bangalore a lot. So it serves me well to keep in touch with what is going on in Bangalore. Nowadays India and Bangalore are moving so fast in terms of progress especially in technology and lifestyle etc. It is very interesting to see what is going on. Bangalore is my home town and this website is based there so a visit to this website is a little like visiting my home town for a few minutes. Where ever one goes home is always home and special.
