Dear Kaverites,

More than sixty Kaveri leaders, volunteers and members attended the SPECIAL GENERAL BODY to discuss and decide whether to vote for Kaveri Kannada Association to host World Kannada Conference.

The meeting was held at second floor auditorium in EXECUTIVE OFFICE BUILDING, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, Maryland 20850 on Sunday, Oct 24th 2004.

President of Kaveri started Special General body proceedings with a brief review of previous Feasibility Group meeting (held on Oct 10th 2004) around 2:30PM after Prof. N.S.Lakshminarayans speech on vara kavi D.R. Bendre (from 1:00 to 2:30PM).

Suresh Ramachandran and Ravi Dankanikote, Kaveri past presidents (of 1999 & 2002) presented the FEASIBILITY REPORT, prepared with the contributions from Harish Hiremath, Nagashankar, Ravi Harapanahalli, Sanjay Rao, Rama Rao and Swamy Narayan, to the Kaveri members.

The question and answer session after the presentation was moderated by president of Kaveri. All the members participated by raising the questions in an order. Most of the members asked very valuable questions and appreciated the Professional Approach adopted by the FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENT GROUP. Many aspects relating to the conference were discussed in fair detail to the satisfaction of the members by Suresh, Ravi and others.

At the end of the Question and Answer session (around 5:00PM), our senior leader K.G.V. Krishna proposed the resolution "Kaveri will host the World Kannada Conference 2006 in association with AKKA and other Kannada organizations".

Another resolution was proposed by president of Kaveri "Feasibility assessment group is authorised to work out the details and continue their good work under the leadership of Suresh Ramachandran and Ravi Dankanikote ".

Both the resolutions were seconded by Kaveri Krishnamurthy, Guruswamy Ayya, Mysore Nataraj, K.L. Vasanth, Nagashankar, Sanjay Rao and many other leaders. All the members passed these resolutions with unanimous YES votes.With this MONUMENTAL DECISION to go ahead with hosting World Kannada Conference 2006 in association with AKKA, we are looking forward for the whole-hearted participation of all Kaveri members and support of all other Kannada Associations in the US and around the world along with Karnataka state people and

government.
