ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ By-election

The by-elections in Karnataka are probably more important than any other election that the country has witnessed in recent times. The results would decide the fate of the B S Yeddyurappa led BJP government.
It makes for an interesting fight as the rebel MLAs who resigned, which in turn helped the BJP establish a government would be testing the waters. In all 15 constituencies will poll of which 12 are held by the Congress and 12 by the JD(S). The rebels were recently allowed by the Supreme Court to contest the elections and they would do so on a BJP ticket.
