Dear Editor,

It is amusing to read the thoughts of a couple of immigrants in Australia/Canada. Can someone throw a light on whether anybody is forcing these immigrants to do these "menial" jobs? Is any of the native white Canadian/Australian pleading or forcing people from developing countries (India included) to migrate to these countries just to do "menial" jobs?

If somebody is working as a taxi driver or a nanny or in toilets, its because they want to earn their livelihood and lead a life that they feel is better than the country they migrated from. As simple as that.

As for Canadian winter, well, didnt the immigrant know it before he or she thought of migrating there?! Ridiculous.

P.S. : I am currently in Phoenix, AZ, where todays temperature is 110F; This heat is too much to handle, I am going back to cool Bangalore!
