Sir,

I like some of the articles written by Mr.Ravi Belgere. But in this particular article Ravi writes that "Lockheed Martin is in the brink of Bankurptancy, and they want to sell F-16 to India so the company can survive etc, etc, etc".

It is rubbish and nonsense. I am an employee of LMCO. My company is doing good! in fact we made $1B profit in just last quarter. Through this letter I would like to inform the readers of this news paper that, Lockheed Martin does not just build F-16 only and we are not selling it to Pakistan to survive! and offering it to India to come out of Bankrupt!

We make other defense product too! like F-22 (we have 220 orders pending to USAF) and the most sofiscated F-35 which will begin production in 2007(3000 to USAF, 500 RAF, 250 to Germany and about 500 to other countries) that means job security to us next 30 years. Also we build AEGIS ships, the most dependable warships in world and selling to Japan, Korea and australia! Not only that we are building the BMD(Ballistic Missel Defense!)

Not just defense products, we serve US Postal Office, US Govt Social security, US Telephone system, Air Traffic control etc.

I tell you a secret, why we are not able to sell to India any of our service, because we dont pay Bribes to politicians to secure orders. We have no middle men. Remember BOFORS and Millions dollars Raja Gandhi has hidden in Swiss Bank!

We dont pay bribes, so Indian Govt dont buy them it is that simple!

Why AI is not buying Boeing 747S, because Boeing is not paying bribes to sell it aircrafts.

So please without knowing the actual truth, dont write some thing rubbish and publish and mislead the public.

There are and many other political reasons for US defense companies not selling to India. One of them is Indians are very good in C&D (copy and design!) I am sorry to say this.

Yes India can build better war planes than F-16s, F-22s, but what can scientists, engineers do if we have corrupt ministers Like Pranabs, pawars, Lallos, Mullah Mulyams and not to forget Georges (who kicked out IBM in 1974 and India fell way back in Computer technology!
