M. Krishnamurthy:

I have been a Member of AKKA since its inception at the Kannada Sammelana-98, Phoenix, Arizona. I am committed to see that it succeeds in realizing my dream and the dream of Kannadigas of North America in promoting and establishing a vibrant Kannada language and culture in North America.

I have been an active member of Karnataka Cultural Association of Southern California since 1980 and served as its Vice president during 1983-84, as Secretary during 87-88, and as Treasurer during 90-91 and 94-96.

Promoted Kannada Sugama Sangeetha Geetha Madhuri Videos Tapes in USA, Canada, and all over the world. I was in Charge for making all the arrangements for Food, for Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Karnataka Cultural Association of Southern California in February 1999. Arranged programs for Sri Mysore Ananthaswamy in Los Angeles 1988, for C. Aswath 1995, Muddukrishna Troupe 1998. Assisted in sponsoring several Kannada artists including Mr. C. Aswath and Mr. & Mrs. T. S. Nagabharana in 1998. Participated WMKC 2000 Kannada Sammelana in Houston. I am also the founding member and Treasurer of B. M. S. College of Engineering American Alumni Association (BMSCE-AAA) USA, which has set up several scholarships. I served as the Secretary of B. M. S. College of Engineering Students Union during 1962-63 and as president during 1964-65.

I also served as Chairman, Membership committee, American Concrete Institute (ACI) during 1986-88, and recently was nominated as a member of its Board of Directors.

Last, but not the least is the fact that I retired recently and have all the time that AKKA needs. Further, I am pledging to commit enough time and attention and work for AKKAs goals and objectives and request your support to make this a reality.
