Dear Board of Directors, charter members and members of AKKA,

Namaskara,

It gives me a great pleasure to let you know that the Amendment to the AKKA constitution has been overwhelmingly approved by the General Membership of AKKA. As of today New AKKA constitution is in place. I thank each and every one of you for participating and completing the constitution amendment process. I would like to thank Dr. Keshava Babu, Chair, By Law committee and other members for their magnificent job in drafting and recommending the amendments to the Board. I also thank the Board of Directors of AKKA to make appropriate changes to the draft and presenting it to the general membership for their approval.

My Special thanks to Smt Vasanthi Gowda, President Vidyaranya Kannada Koota Illinois, for chairing the committee to oversee the Amendment process along with Dr. Jayaram Mokshagundam past president Vidyaranya Kannada Koota and Mr. Jayaswamy, Past president AKKA and Vidyaranya Kannada Koota for their valuable service.

As decided by the Board of directors I have appointed an Election Committee under the chairmanship of Dr. Anjanappa from Kaveri Kannada Koota to conduct AKKA elections. The committee will have two additional members to assist the chairman. The other two members are Dr. Uma Babu, Kaveri Kannada Koota and Mr. Sanjay Rao, President, Kaveri Kannada Koota.

I expect the election commission to initiate the election process immediately. I urge all of you to participate in the democratic election process actively and make AKKA a strong and viable organization of All Kannadigas.

I once again thank each and every kannadiga for your support, encouragement appreciation shown to me all along.
