Thank you for the quick and encouraging reply ! This kind of personal attention & interactive nature of Vichitranna must be winning you so many friends.

I did like your "Bhootaradhane vichitranna", though I should admit, I didnt read the tulu prayer but only read the kannada translation. I had lot of friends from DK and Mangalore

during my engg. days. In fact 50% of our class consisted of Tulu & Konkani speaking people. Tulu is a nice language and I had ventured learning it, though I didnt learn much.

Your idea of introducing bits from other cultures/languages is good as this gives some insight into different cultures and also idea about cultural diversities in Karnataka / India

(Hopefully - in coming episodes) . All your columns till now have provided interesting reading.

Do you carry your pen and note book to Boothada Kola too :-)) I have attended few Boothada Kola. The tulu dialog is really super. I like to listen this from Mr. Boothappa :-)

we have been missing our home bhoota"panjurlis kola from many many years. your so "informative article" took us to our school days, when we were waiting MENKA our panjurli veshadari on kola day. we never heard fully that tulu (? nudikattu) prartane before. so nice to read it. thank you so much

I really enjoyed reading about bhUta parba in vichitraanna. Brought back my own bhUta(past) to mind. Like you said it had maNNina vaasane! That is such a welcome fragrance to a hora naaDa kannaDiga or even oLa naaDa kannaDiga in this age of steel

and concrete.
