Readers responses to Dr.G.V.Kulakarnis Yoga articles

Respected Shri Jeevi Kulkarniji,

Hearty Namaskaras to you. Im originally from Hubli working in Software Research in Pune. I have been reading your "Jeevan mattu Sahitya" column regularly in ThatsKanada. Your column is coming out in a very nice way and the subjects you are covering are varied and interesting to read.

Im very curious to learn Jala Neti and Jala Dhouti after reading your column and your book "Oushadhvillade Badukalu Kaliyiri". I do Pranayaama and few asanas every day but have not had an opportunity to learn these two. Can you please guide me as to where I can learn this in Pune (if you know) or the best possible way to learn these two.

Secondly, I have finished reading your "Naa kanDa bEndre, jeevana mattu saahitya" and "DharwaDada dattu mAstara" written by Shri Enkay. I want to read more about Bendre and his works, which books should I read next. Im eagerly waiting for Vol. 8 of Oudumbar Gatha which would contain numerology and scientific works of Shri Bendre.

With Warm Regards,

- Sanjeev Kulkarni

Dr. Kulakarni yavarige Namaskaara,

My name is Ram I am a Kannadiga living near Boston. I have been reading your articles for a while. It has been excellent in its content in terms of spirituality. I have taken spirituality seriously for the last 7 - 8 years. I am sorry, it takes lot of time for me to write Kannada emails. Let me hit the point.

For me, Yoga is the way of using body for the ultimate but still requires mind (knowledge) in its back drop. Meditation is the way of using mind to reach the ultimate but Yoga comes automatically in the end.

My point of suggestion is to make Meditation more popular than Yoga. The secret of life lies in the most delicate thing in life, Mind, rather than body. Our body is already taken care of by the great force of nature and there is no need to fix it by any means. If we can go for it, why 100/- lets go for a billion. We were unsuccessful in our past lives to reach the ultimate point in life. By saying this we can conclude, we were unable to use devotion, which is the easiest path in life in our previous lives. The only option left in this world is to use Meditation or Yoga.

I still prefer Meditation over Yoga. I dont have a single iota of doubt in my mind that Yoga is not the way for the ultimate. I have greatest respect for Pathanjali the great Indian sage. The greatest force or the momentum of Mind has to be broken otherwise this (Any human life) life continues for ever. I thought if you can educate people this is a better area in addition to your expert Yogic opinions.

Thank you

- Ram

Namaskar Sir,

I am Gopal Athani .Bbasically I am from Bijapur but now working in Mumbai. I got to know about you in Thatskannada.com. i read your articles on Bendre and Yoga. I was very much taken into your article. I am also an aspirer on the way of Yoga. I am a devotee of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother - if they can also call me so. I request you to give us an insight to Bendres Sadhana in a more detailed manner so that we aspirants can get the guidance from his legendary life.

One more question I wanted to ask you. Are you the same Dr. Kulkarni living in Vashi and running Sri Aurobindo center? Please clarify my doubt. Hope to read from you soon sir.

Dear & Respected Sir

I am impressed by your article in ThatsKannada viz. "vidEsheeyaru yOga kalisuva durdina baaradirali!" Would you kindly give me the web site details about yoga? I did not have the inclination to learn yoga up till now. I am sixty. Hypertensive, obese, insulin dependent diabetic. I have peripheral neuropathy in legs. Retinopathy in both the eyes. Left eye is almost blind. I am partly deaf due to Meniers disease.

I am still having the love for life and I want to learn as long as I live. I love my farming profession. I always think that - It is never too late to learn.

With respects

- SMP

Namaska Jeeviavarige,

It is really a very valuable information, and introduction to Devu Pattar. Before we loose all this knowledge, we should try to archive it, and create a website.
